About

Welcome to Cook. Eat. Repeat. This blog grew out of the many interactions I have with individuals when I mention that I love to cook. So many times people ask for recipes but I tend not to get around to sharing them. We love to cook and want to share that passion with individuals and show people that cooking and enjoying the fruits of your labor is one of the most gratifying things you can do.

I am a Librarian by day, accomplished cook by night. A few years ago, I was faced with digestive problems, thought to be caused by gluten and dairy. This radically changed the way I eat and I was forced to begin to cook. I consider this unfortunate event to be a blessing in disguise because without the intolerances, I would have never realized that the place I feel most comfortable is in the kitchen.

Growing up, my mother tried a new recipe every time she set out to cook dinner, which for us was most nights. Rarely did we see the same meal twice, even if we loved it (which was a common occurrence). As I began my cooking journey, I set out to make one or two recipes a week. After a few weeks, two recipes turned into a new recipe almost every night. Today, I rarely repeat meals and am constantly trying out new combinations and tweaking recipes to make my own creations based on our tastes. With a culinary certificate under his belt, Ryan puts in his two cents and cooks when I do not.

Follow us as we show you that cooking is not the monstrous task most people think it is. With a little time and effort, you can create wonderful, satisfying meals that are healthier, more economical and better for the environment than eating out or simply eating convenience food. Food provides our bodies with fuel, so why not feed it healthy, wholesome, great tasting food?
